Cold Heading for Electrical Contacts
Deringer-Ney has been supplying electrical contacts and contact rivets since 1950. We have many years of experience production of electrical contacts for a wide variety of devices. Many companies depend on DNI as a technical resource to assist in selecting the best contact geometry and material for each application. We also assist with cost reduction and ROHS compliance. Many of our electrical contacts are tailored to meet the demands of high speed assembly operations. These contact rivets utilize a variety of precious metal alloys available in the world today such as gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and copper including our own exclusive alloys. Our quality systems are supported by ISO 9001:2000 certification (UL Registration # A8448), with compliance to the automotive specific clauses of TS 16949 including PPAP, APQP, and FMEA. |
![]() Our specialties include solid electrical contacts and cold headed bimetal contacts. These are commonly utilized in automotive relay, appliance switching, and lighting applications. They are manufactured using silver, silver-tin oxide, and other unique precious metal alloys. Our composite / bi-metal contacts, sometimes called cladding, are manufactured using a controlled high speed friction bonding process. The bi-metal contact rivet offers an economical alternative to higher-priced brazed contacts, or solid silver alloy contacts. Deringer-Ney also manufactures brazed contacts and staked or welded contact assemblies. For more information call Tom Schieber at 828-649-0709 or user our contact us page. |
