Typical Operational Range of Various Assembly Methods

Often Deringer Engineers are asked to recommend the best method of contact attachment for a given application. There is an overlapping of operational range and certain limitations. The following list defines the recommended limits of each process.

Riveted or Staked Contacts: up to 50 amperes
Welded Contacts: up to 60 amperes
Furnace Brazed Contacts: up to 1000 amperes
Screws and studs: up to 150 amperes
