Deringer-Ney is expanding our Applications Engineering group. Our Applications Engineers function as critical members of our customer interfacing team. Working with the Sales and Marketing, Engineering Design, and R&D teams, they will support customers in their technical development programs. This position offers the opportunity to learn about customer products, critical aspects of their function, and offer solutions to technical challenges, facilitating their success. This opportunity offers a breadth of experience. Our applications span many markets from Medical and Automotive to Aerospace and Industrial products.
Develop an understanding of customer needs, participating in: application reviews, competitive product analysis, “tear down” evaluations, and durability test evaluations.
Understand and communicate Deringer-Ney’s core competencies, and how they are relevant to business opportunities.
Work with both internal and external teams to determine / develop technical solutions to customers’ challenging problems.
Support the marketing team in developing technical sales literature.
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
Professional work experience preferred, but not required
Exposure to manufacturing environments
Mechanical design experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Travel requirements for this position can fluctuate and could be in the range of 25% to 33%.
