Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Marshall NC
Know how to use ladders, hand tools, power tools, and be able to lift using good safety practices.
Be able to change and dispose of lamps in most of the plant fixtures.
Knowledge of fuses and correct identification and replacement.
Know Lockout-Tag-Out Procedures: why and when to use.
Know how and when to use personal protective equipment.
Deringer-Ney located in Marshall, NC an ISO 9001 certified company, is a leading manufacturer of electrical contacts and Micro- Manufactured products. Everything manufactured is made to exacting standards and the parts are very small. The plant operates two shifts, 5 days per week and has been in Marshall for 45 years.
An opening currently exists for a qualified candidate capable of working in an industrial manufacturing operation with skills in most of the tasks outlined below. The position is a Monday through Friday day shift job 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Interested persons should submit resumes or visit the plant to submit an application.
Deringer-Ney Inc. Job qualifications for a level three Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE - LEVEL 1
GENERAL MAINTENANCE - LEVEL 2 (INCLUDES LEVEL 1 REQUIREMENTS)
Have a good knowledge of machine motor controls including start/stop switches, relays, counters, motor starters, overloads and contactors.
Be able to change and diagnose ballasts in a majority of plant fixtures.
Be able to correctly use power hand tools.
Have a general knowledge of production machine shaft and bearing fitment.
Be able to use Machine Shop Equipment is a plus including the following:
Be able to weld on plate, angle iron, and sheet steel including the following:
Know the importance of an electrical ground and neutral.
Know the difference in and importance of grounding and bonding.
Be able to cut and bend electrical conduit.
Know OHMS LAW-VOLTAGE and CURRENT FLOW.
Understand the difference between single-phase and three-phase wiring.
Be able to wire single-phase and three-phase outlets in hard pipe or flex.
Be able to use a Fluke digital multi-meter and clamp- on ammeter.
Stick Weld (SMAW)
GENERAL MAINTENANCE - LEVEL 3 (INCLUDES LEVEL 2 REQUIREMENTS)
Know and understand 480 volt Electrical Distribution Systems.
Know Motor Control as it applies to the Equipment in our Plant.
Know Machine Controls including:
Familiarity with Programmable Controllers.
Understand Proximity and Photo Sensing Equipment.
Know Pneumatic and Hydraulic controls on semi automated Equipment.
Be able to troubleshoot inter-related Machine problems.
