Human Resources Assistant - Part Time
Vernon Hills, IL

Provide support in functional areas of Human Resources including administrative, employment and recordkeeping.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and maintain time and attendance system.
  • Process weekly time and attendance for payroll
  • Create and maintain all employee records and documentation.
  • Create employee communication items.
  • Process employment verifications.
  • Collect and process various benefit information.
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Prepare and send routine correspondence.
  • Create, prepare and maintain automated reports.
  • Manage the functional workspace by maintaining supplies, equipment and various resource libraries and preparing, organizing and maintaining various filing systems for the department.
  • Provide administrative support by assisting in creating presentations, proofreading and mailing and copying.
  • Ensure employee confidence and protect operations by keeping HR information confidential.
  • Participate in new hire reporting program for various states.
  • Assist in maintaining HRIS (ABRA).
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity.
  • Complete individual administrative projects as assigned.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years prior Human Resource experience, desirable.
  • Associates degree, preferred.
  • Previous payroll and time and attendance processing, required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office:  Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects while not losing sight of weekly duties.
  • Must be detail oriented and have ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through ability essential.
