Screw Machine Maintenance Helper-  Bloomfield, CT
1st Shift

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs the process of cleaning and processing of scrap turnings generated by the screw machines.
  • Keep department floors and work areas clean.
  • Transfer material between screw machine department and control station.
  • Clean materials and dispose of used materials
    Lubricate equipment and maintain fluid levels as reqired.
  • Package parts for shipping/final.
  • Performs maintenance sumps for all machines as directed.
  • Attains and prepares additional rod stock utilizing the department lathe.
  • Inform supervisor of need to replace/restock any/all fluids or supplies to perform job.
  • Assists in the cleaning and traying of parts at the ultrasonic cleaning system.
  • Performs cleanout of machines after production runs and in preparation for sumping.
  • Offer suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in basic inspection functions when required – training to be provided..

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with and participate with team members.
  • Understands and can utilize basic math calculations.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Training and Experience:

  • High school education.
  • Good communication skills.
