Deringer-Ney Inc, a 200 year old manufacturer of gold, palladium and platinum alloys has established Medical Interconnect, LLC to meet the electrical interconnection needs for interventional and implantable medical device applications.
Medical Interconnect focuses on the development of medical connectors and high density micro connectors to provide solutions to the growing challenge of continually increasing density and miniaturization interconnection requirements. We utilize our expertise in micro machining, microstamping, and micro cold forming to complement our extensive connector design, development and manufacturing capabilities.
Focusing on this interconnection challenge, the company is currently developing technology for high density connectors to greatly enhance the number of electrical connections achievable in a variety of implantable pulse generator device connector applications. With the ability to support larger numbers of conductors, and therefore more body interfacing electrodes, medical device developers will have much greater latitude to envision new therapies to address currently untreatable diseases.
Located in our Blaine, Minnesota facility, Medical Interconnect provides comprehensive design prototyping and testing capabilities to provide our customers with all of the requisite support needed for the manufacturing and development of novel new connector concepts. The facility holds ISO 13485 Medical Quality Standard certification.
