Economet Machine Set-Up / Operator – 2nd Shift - Marshall, NC

An operator/set-up person is responsible for the complete set-up and operation of all Bi-metal machines and tubular designs.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Set-up machine for production of parts per customer specs.
  • Operate machines at maximum efficiency to produce quality parts.
  • Perform in-process inspections.
  • Maintain logs and process sheets.
  • Ensure all required PM’s are done and recorded.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect parts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Mechanical aptitude and machine operation exposure.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to record dates.
  • Ability to use measuring and magnification equipment and recognize key dimensions.
  • Familiarity with computers and entry of data.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience working with bi-metal machines preferred.
  • Strong communications skills oral and written.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
