Heading Machine Operator - Marshall, NC

Trainee position to develop skills and techniques which allow effective set-up and operation of cold heading equipment.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to learn the cold forming theory and process with effective training in order to produce quality products in accordance to industrial and international quality standards.
  • Present the ability to interpret and follow through with production blue prints, work instruction and procedures as established for applicable departmental processes and workflows.
  • Possess the mechanical ability and aptitude which promotes technical understanding of various types of cold forming machinery and operations, set ups and adjustments of designated equipment.
  • Be able to problem solve various situations using critical thinking methodology in an investigative manor to pinpoint, identify and correct potential issues that lead to non-conformances and production losses.
  • The ability to use and understand metrology equipment such as micrometers, comparators, height gages, statistical quality controls and consistently work in tolerance ranges of ±.0002”.
  • Be motivated, self-starting with ability, mannerism, and attitude that enables one to work closely with other team members for a common goal.
  • The ability to lift 50lbs.

TRAINING AND EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma.
  • Mechanical skills / aptitude preferred.
