Heat Treat and Tumble Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift - Temp

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work with production control, and all other manufacturing departments to produce quality and on-time customer deliveries.

Have full understanding of company policies, paperwork, and systems to repeatedly produce quality parts.

Must work well in a fast-paced "team environment".

Must follow shop order dates and processes to the letter while informing the supervisor or engineers of any non-conformances.

Look to continually improve processes and quality.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Review job requirements at the beginning of each shift.

Notify supervision and production control when any job may go overdue and why.

Inspection and sign-off for quality on each operation and see supervision with any non-conformances.

Follow operator and maintenance logs as required.
-
Notify supervisor of any equipment problems.
-
Review equipment condition before starting any job.
-
CHeck with QC Inspection daily to ensure that they have enough parts to keep the vibratory inspection bowls operating.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge and ability to operate these types of equipment...

parts furnaces

tumbling equipment

ultrasonic cleaners
-
parts dryers
-
parts pickling
-
stereo microscope
-
material identification
-
media use and identification
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
2-3 years working with small parts in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Good writing skills preferred.
-
Small parts inspection characterized by the ability to distinguish minute detail.
