Cold Heading Machine Setup / Operator – Marshall, NC

 

We are currently looking for Cold Heading Machine Set-Up Operators to work Monday through Friday on first shift. The position will include setting up the machines, make machine adjustments, and run production lots.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Capable of setting-up Heading machines such as Nakashimada, Sakamura, Ay┼če, and Waterbury.
  • Ability to work independently in a job shop environment to set-up and operate a number of machines simultaneously.
  • Maintain compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications.
  • Self-Inspection for Quality of all parts manufactured.
  • Seeks out creative ways to continuously improve the products and processes
  • Capable of diagnosing machine problems with minimal supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • The aptitude to set-up and run production, making machine adjustments, and tool settings.
  • Ability to measure high quality parts to print and follow detailed work instructions per our ISO quality systems, required.
  • Must be proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience with multi-die (progressive) cold heading machines is highly desirable.
  • Trains coworkers as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience setting up and operating cold heading machines.
  • Ability to problem solve operating issues with tool makers and cold forming engineers.
