Mold Maker / Tool Maker - Bloomfield CT

The mold maker / tool maker should have a minimum of 10 years' experience and knowledge of plastic injection mold building.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Experience with insert, reel-to-reel, and hot runners a plus

Manufacturing of prototype and production molds per engineered mold designs.

Modify existing molds per engineering changes.
-
Perform maintenance, repairs, and change-overs as required.

Development and manufacturing of the following in order to support production...

Jigs
-
Fixtures
-
Gages
-
Inspection Tools
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

State apprenticeship or equivalent proficiency with tool room machinery and inspection equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Understanding of working properties of various engineering materials.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-
Must be able to work independently.

Must be able to do high accuracy work that requires concentration and physical effort.
