Medical Alloys and Materials

Deringer-Ney produces a variety of custom Platinum, Palladium and Gold based biocompatible materials. We also produce components for both long term implantable and interventional medical devices from these materials using our cold forming, micromachining and precision stamping processes.
Our alloys are used in applications ranging from lead electrodes for cardiac rhythm management and neurostimulation devices to radiopaque marking components for visual identification (fluoroscopy) of catheter/guide wire location during interventional medical procedures.
We produce wire to <0.001 "(25 micron) and have recently installed new strip rolling equipment that will allow the production of strip materials to as low as 0.0005" (13 microns) in thickness.

We specialize in the creation of new medical alloys to meet specific requirements for mechanical strength, long term implantable biocompatibility and MRI compatibility. We are continuously developing new biomedical materials to provide solutions for new demanding medical applications.
