At Deringer-Ney, we manufacture a variety of precious metal and refractory metal alloys for our cold formed parts and electrical contacts. We also design new metal alloys to bring performance or cost benefits in specific applications.
Most of our alloys contain combinations of palladium, gold, palladium, and silver. Other elements are also used in smaller amounts to enhance specific properties.
Paliney® and Neyoro™ High Performance Precious Metal Alloys
Our Paliney and Neyoro families of precious metal alloys are specially designed high performance alloys. Most Paliney alloys are palladium based, with additions of platinum, silver, gold, and other elements. Neyoro metal alloys are gold-based.
Additions of gold, platinum and palladium provide nobility, or freedom from tarnish. Other elements help provide strength.
Most of our metal alloys are hardened by heat treatment, or by a combination of heat treatment and cold working. A few can be work hardened only.
Each precious metal alloy is designed for specific applications. Applications are extremely diverse and include potentiometers, sensors, semiconductor test probes and fuel sensors.
We produce a family of metal alloys specifically for medical applications. Critical requirements for these alloys may include biocompatibility, strength, radiopacity, and nobility. Our alloys are used in applications ranging from lead electrodes for cardiac rhythm management and neurostimulation devices to radiopaque marking. Deringer-Ney is also certified to strict ISO13485 standards.

Application Specific Custom Alloys
Working directly with customers, Deringer-Ney also develops and produces custom metal alloys for specific applications. Generally we focus on platinum, palladium, and gold based precious metal alloys, but we also produce parts in titanium, tantalum and silver.
