Alloys for Medical Applications

Deringer-Ney produces a variety of platinum, gold, and palladium based biocompatible metal alloys for both long term implantable and interventional medical devices.  Our wire and strip materials are used in applications ranging from lead electrodes for cardiac rhythm management and neurostimulation devices to radiopaque markers used in fluoroscopy imaging of catheter and guide wires during interventional medical procedures.  Deringer-Ney alloys are also used in slip rings and slip ring brushes used in medical test and diagnostic equipment.

Alloys for Semiconductor Applications

Deringer-Ney produces palladium and gold alloy wire used widely in wafer and package test probes.  These alloys are tarnish resistant and do not require plating. This results in increased reliability over plated probes. Deringer-Ney precious metal alloys are also used in electrical contact systems for electrochemical deposition processes.

Paliney 7 - A well known palladium alloy for vertical needles, cobra probes, cantilever probes, LED test probes, and electrodes for electrochemical deposition.

Paliney H3C - A patented palladium-copper-silver alloy designed for applications where higher hardness and higher electrical conductivity are required.  Used for vertical needles, cobra probes, cantilever probes, and pogo pin tips.

Paliney 25 - Deringer-Ney's newest high conductivity palladium alloy designed for vertical needles, cantilever probes, space transformers, and other high CCC (current carrying capability) applications.

Neyoro G - A heat-treatable gold alloy used in low noise electrical contacts used in IC test sockets.
